Cleo
„Beneath every paving stone lies a treasure“ – this has been Cleo’s motto ever since childhood. After the death of her father, who once took her on treasure hunts, she gave up dreaming. But then she meets Paul, an even bigger dreamer, who owns a treasure map said to lead to the hiding places of the Sass brothers, the legendary Berlin safecrackers of the Weimar Republic, who allegedly stole a magical clock capable of turning back time.
CLEO is a modern urban fairy tale. On their wild chase through Berlin, figures from the past appear along the way – from Marlene Dietrich to Albert Einstein. Told with humour and whimsical imagination, the film is a playful, romantic love letter to Berlin and its rich past.
